Shipping Information

Our kittens are $650-950 on contract as a pet, harder and rarer colors/patterns might be more. Breeding rights are available at a breeder price to select homes.

If you are interested in reserving a kitten, email info@treasuredtapestry.com with your name, information which can include your address, phone and past pet experiences and what you are looking for in on of our beautiful wegie babies. Or you can give us a call us at 785-497-2891 or fill in the Kitten Request Form.

We ship both domestically and internationally.

You can drive to pick up your baby or have it shipped it to the closest airport.

Live animals are only shipped to large airport for safety reasons.

All shipped pets will be examined by a vet & have a health certificate.

We have shipped as far away as china and Canada. We have had kittens flown to us from Poland, Germany and Denmark. Shipping by airline, when done right, is safe for kittens. We will only fly when it is optimal for each kitten.

We have been shipping for over a decade and all have arrived safely.

Shipping
If you are not a local resident, shipping of your baby to any destination in the USA can be arranged; international shipping involves more so contact for quote.  It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange for pickup at the destination. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and must be paid in advance. We ship on certain days, due to the time involved in getting the kitten to the airport.

The closest airport to fly from is Kansas City International, it is a 350 mile, 6 hour round trip; We charge a flat fee of $100 for delivery of the kitten to the airport;  Other Costs associated with shipping include:
Health Certificate ($50*)

Rabies, if kitten is over 12 weeks ($20)
Pet Carrier ($20-$50)
Airline shipping fee (up to $240)

Average cost for total transport of one kitten is $350*
*unless additional costs from your state is required

We reserve the right to sell or not to sell a kitten to any individual.

Shipping is the most economical way to transport; but it can be dependent on weather condition with certain airlines. Temps must be between 10 & 85 degrees at all points the plane is on the ground. In the plane the live animal cargo areas are pressurized, heated and cooled; but they do get some exposure to the elements during loading. Live animal embargo's are put on for delayed flights, temperature restrictions and other weather related events. Occasionally a live animal flight will need to be rebooked; though it has only happened once in the time I have flown babies, it can happen.

Flights are booked 24 hours to 10 days in advance.

Additional Fees not included in the $350 average discussed as the need arises:

Day kennel care if layover >4 hrs.

If a kitten if over 6 month Spay/Neuter cost

VIP Counter to Counter Shipping, if your airport requires it. This is the only way to ship to smaller airports without live animal facilities if that is your only option.
